In The Name of Love CIC is a newly established Christian community interest company with a heart for those on the margins. We exist to support individuals who are displaced, at risk of homelessness, or navigating difficult transitions in life.
Our vision is rooted in Christian values of compassion, dignity, justice, and hope — and our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.
What We Do:
We aim to offer:

Displacement packs for those in immediate need

Emergency hostel accommodation

Skills workshops for long-term rehabilitation

Meals and essential food provision

Links to other local support systems and services

Micro-grants for those on the verge of homelessness
A Christian Foundation:
As a faith-based organisation, the leadership and direction of our work must reflect our Christian ethos, doctrinal integrity, and unwavering commitment to biblical values.
By lawful exception, we restrict appointments to our Advisory Board to practising Christians who affirm the core beliefs of the Christian faith, including:

Belief in the Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Salvation through Jesus Christ alone

The authority of Scripture as the Word of God

The resurrection of Christ as the foundation of our hope
This reflects our commitment to ensuring that the spiritual integrity and purpose of the charity remain firmly grounded in the truth of the Gospel and in faithful obedience to Jesus Christ.
While our services are open to all — regardless of belief — the governance of our organisation is intentionally led by those who share our faith in Christ.
We understand that many, whether Christian or not, find reassurance in knowing that the work is led with compassion, integrity, and accountability by those shaped by Christian principles.
We're Looking for:
Six committed individuals who are passionate about social justice and want to serve in a meaningful way. Whether you bring lived experience, professional expertise, or simply a heart to help — your voice matters.
Ideal backgrounds include (but are not limited to):

Pastoral care or ministry

Community outreach or social work

Governance and charity leadership

Fundraising and partnerships

Finance and operations

Lived experience of homelessness or displacement
About The Role:

Commitment: 3-year term
-
Honorarium: £200 per year (payable after each full year served)

Format: Remote meetings with occasional in-person opportunities

Start Date: Rolling applications, with appointments confirmed throughout the year
